
American Business Women's Association (ABWA) provides opportunities for local and national recognition. Within the local chapter/express network level, members who contribute to the success of their local group can be recognized as Chapter Women of the Year (generally requires a minimum of 1 full year of membership to qualify) and annual Top Ten nomination for personal and professional achievement plus ABWA involvement..

The 2007 TOP TENS are made up of women with a wide variety of life stories and achievements. The Business Woman of the year is Lina Lawson, the association's National Vice President. Five of the honorees are from District VI (the same district that includes Colorado. In fact, two of the 2007 TOP TEN are from Colorado - Michelle Egbert and Jackie Francke!

Two of our local women received this honor for 2006 - June Unrein, Pikes Peak Chapter, and Louise Walsh, Denver Downtown Chapter.
